One could say fine woodworking is timber framing scaled down, or timber framing is fine woodworking scaled up. Either way, the same precision craftmanship is required. BFDB has long worked on custom furniture and custom cabinets. Some of our work can be seen in the same buildings we’ve built. Other times, a client approaches us just for our fine woodworking expertise!

We find that the design approach we take with homebuilding works well with woodworking. We start with a vision board and dreams, we begin to sketch, and before long the wood shavings are flying in the shop!
